Even when you know others were considered for the parts, you can only imagine the characters as they are played as opposed to other actors. It's different with, say, Obi Wan Kenobi, since two actors have played him at different points in his life.
I just watched the documentary she made with her mother. It was very revealing, but sad, now that they're both gone.

@Norma: I still haven't seen it. Still hard to believe they died within a day of each other. So sad.
